AWI New England Chapter Triumphs as 2025 Chapter of the Year

The AWI New England Chapter has been honored with the prestigious 2025 Chapter of the Year award, a testament to their exceptional dedication and strategic approach to organizational excellence. In a remarkable achievement, the chapter dramatically improved its performance, more than doubling its previous year’s score from 82 to 196 points in the AWI Distinguished Chapter program.

Throughout the 2024-2025 competition, the chapter distinguished itself through outstanding efforts in key areas, particularly in supporting the workforce of the future. Their strategic initiatives focused on membership growth, skills development, and community engagement. By methodically aligning chapter objectives with actionable goals, the New England team demonstrated an unprecedented level of commitment and teamwork.

Chapter President Richard Bergan highlighted the chapter’s success, noting their systematic approach to the competition. “Last summer, we carefully analyzed each category and points system, aligning our focus with our chapter’s unique objectives and resources,” Bergan explained. The chapter’s success stems from its ability to leverage the immense talent and enthusiasm of its members, creating a new synergy that fostered a powerful sense of community and shared purpose.

Standout achievements include significant contributions to the Successor Generation category, active participation in SkillsUSA competitions, and implementing innovative strategies to support industry growth. The chapter’s ability to overcome challenges and work collaboratively set them apart, earning them the top honor at the upcoming AWI Annual Convention in San Antonio, TX.
