Thank You for Joining the New England AWI Factory Tour at Executive Group
We extend our sincere thanks to everyone who attended the New England AWI’s recent factory tour at the Executive Group in Amsterdam, NY. A special thank you goes to the Executive Group and Coffey Machinery for their generous hospitality and support in making this event a tremendous success.
AWI members enjoyed an exclusive look inside Executive Group’s impressive manufacturing facility featuring automation and state-of-the art equipment, part of its 1,000,000-square-foot operation. The tour showcased the company’s commitment to innovation, with cutting-edge automation and advanced machinery throughout the facility.
Attendees were guided through a highly automated material handling process, where CNC cutout machines are loaded with precision. Components then moved either to secondary processing stations or directly to edge banding, depending on the production requirements. A computerized LED-guided sorting system directed employees on part placement with efficiency and accuracy.
Next, carcasses were assembled by hand before entering a fully automated clamping and packaging line. Parts requiring finishing were processed through an advanced Cefla automated paint and finishing system, ensuring high-quality results at remarkable speed. Despite the scale of the facility, Executive operates with a lean workforce thanks to their extensive use of automation.
The tour also highlighted Executive Group’s recent investment in Weinig equipment, allowing them to expand into the production of European-style windows. Their state-of-the-art multi-axis processing machinery enables fast and precise fabrication of complex components.
